Do I need tax clearance for SEAI grants?
Only if SEAI pays you more than €10,000 in grants in one calendar year. Then you need a Tax Clearance Certificate from Revenue before the grant is paid.

Over €10,000 of grants in one calendar year needs a Tax Clearance Certificate.
“A Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) will be required from the Applicant where grants are paid in excess of €10,000 in a single calendar year.” SEAI: Individual grants: Homeowner Application Guide, read 25 Sept 2026
A heat pump on its own can do it: the heat pump, radiator and renewable heat bonus grants together are €12,500 on a house. Get the certificate through Revenue’s online services before you claim.
