Prices for those jobs are the middle price SEAI recorded for that work last year; grants come from SEAI’s published amounts; fuel prices come from SEAI’s comparison table.
So these are worked-out figures for homes like yours, not a record of what anyone was charged. Your own quote will land somewhere in the range, and the wider the range, the less certain we are.

Common questions
- Can I do just a few windows?
- You can. SEAI say you do not have to replace them all. The grant is paid once for the house, though, so a job in two halves gets paid once — and the house still has to meet the heat-loss limit after the work.
- How much do new windows cost in Ireland?
- SEAI does not publish a middle price, so we estimate about €490 for each square metre of window. That is roughly €9,085 for a semi-detached house.
- Double or triple glazing?
- Either, once the finished window keeps heat in well enough. Triple costs more and is worth most on big north-facing windows.
